OP Music House | domestic violence awareness and support
|OP Music House
"Find yourself, love yourself,
be yourself and be proud."
OP Music House, Inc. is a community-based nonprofit organization with a
global message: LOVE SHOULDN'T HURT!
We hold live music events to raise awareness, prevention, education and
eradication of domestic violence as well as provide direct support to men
and women impacted by it.
OP Music House was founded by Suzanne Perry, who has emerged from
victim to victor after 22 years of abuse. Suzanne bravely decided to break
her silence, sharing her story of being held prisoner in her own home, of
being a human punching bag, not allowed to talk to her kids alone, she all
but lost hope.
When Suzanne's story reached the media, she was answered with a surge
of messages from people who had similar horrifying experiences with
partners, parents, and people in a position of authority. Most said they too
felt they suffered alone, many still scared and ashamed. They asked that
she be their voice. Today, Suzanne is a well-known public and
motivational speaker, radio personality, writer, event planner and promoter.
Originator of the annual 'EXPOSURE Concert: Because love
shouldnt hurt,' a 3-day music fest with dozens of bands,
streaming live around the world to expose domestic violence.
It's been watched from 8 countries!
